Rooted in Faith Since 1951
New Vision Christian Church was founded in 1951 as a congregation within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a movement born from a simple, powerful conviction: that Christians could unite around the person of Jesus Christ rather than divide over doctrine.
For over seven decades, our church has stood at the corner of Jefferson Avenue in Birmingham as a steady presence through seasons of change in our city — always striving to be a place where neighbors become family, and where the Gospel is lived out in tangible love for our community.
Today, New Vision continues that legacy. We are a multigenerational congregation that honors the faithfulness of those who came before us while staying open to where God is leading us next.
